Joseph “Joe” Connelly began his career at a young age working in his family’s business in New England. Having been involved in diverse residential and commercial real estate ventures, Joe, the youngest of seven children learned every aspect of these vast operations from the ground up. Joe gained an innate understanding of construction standards, mechanical systems, people, and sound financial analysis, all of which have become the roots and foundation of his business success today.
Mr. Connelly graduated from Suffolk University with a BS, BA in Business Management. His professional experience includes management of ‘Class A’ office buildings, Harvard University healthcare facilities, higher education campuses and residential communities. He studied new software technology, hardware, building codes and life safety programs at Boston University and George Washington University . His role in managing staffs, assessing processes, documenting and presenting physical plant analysis to Administration Boards has lent itself seamlessly to public insurance adjusting.
Upon relocating to Florida in 2002, Mr. Connelly focused on business ventures within the residential and commercial markets. Joe has served as Executive Board Officer for Florida Association of Public Adjusters (FAPIA); served as the Palm City Chamber of Commerce President; and is a member of the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (AAPIA). Joe is a graduate of the Stuart Martin Chamber Leadership Class, he also was asked and served as a Trustee for the Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce . Joe is a member of the Windstorm Insurance Network and has been recognized as a certified insurance appraiser and has been a faculty instructor.
Mr. Connelly has advocated for property owners with insurance claims in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Texas, Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire. Joe is a supporter of the Greater Maine Lakes Region community, serves as a Director of the Board for The Greater Bridgton Chamber of Commerce, Maine and Joe’s family decision to welcome a rescue dog into their family lends itself seamlessly to be a sponsor at Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Maine.
Recovery Insurance Adjusters has been a proud supporter of community driven initiatives. Joe is proud to have been recognized by the community’s organizations as their annual award recipient by the Palm City Chamber of Commerce, Martin County Realtors of the Treasure Coast and the Business Development Board of Martin County.
He proudly serves as Park and Recreation Advisory Board appointed position by the Martin County Board of County Commissioners. Joe is also serving the community in the quasi-judicial Board Of Zoning Adjustment appointed position by the Martin County Board of County Commissioners.

Priscilla Vega with RIA Adjusters is a very fair and honest adjuster. In our time of need, she did not take advantage of us and gave us accurate advice on how to recover for our flood damages. Daniel and his team did a remarkable job getting my wife and I the correct coverage we had (per insurance contract) for hail damage to our roof. Initially the insurance company tried to only cover a small portion of the damage caused by the natural disaster until RIA and Daniel got involved! Irene Villa was our RIA adjuster for a slab leak that we had on our property. From the very beginning, she completely took over all of our worries and with her “can do” attitude, we knew we were in good hands. Irene grabbed the reins with all of the paperwork, language that I didn’t understand and notarized everything that the insurance company required. We literally gave everything to Irene, all emails and correspondence and we got a really wonderful recovery. We never would have done so well and put back together like we are now. After reaching out to Joe Connelly regarding our claim for Hurricane Ian damage, he would not even talk to me. I live in a Condominium and have been without my home for almost 5 months. You would think that he would have a heart! He stated that he would only speak with board members regarding questions about the claim. The communication with our new board has been scarce as to updated information. Joe's required "letter of representation" was untimely, according to the claims service representative, which consequently held things up. He gave out misleading information about material costs during our association meeting regarding the insurance claim. The information that Joe gave us, during the lengthy zoom meeting, was to recite the policy coverages which we had been given weeks before as if we couldn't read it ourselves. Nothing he said was positive just somewhat of a scare tactic. Obviously, Joe has proven to be unprofessional to me. Best advice is to look elsewhere for friendly, caring and informative service when hiring a public adjuster.

Had water damage in my home. Called my insurance company and they led me to believe I was covered for the damage and sent a remediation team over. Later I received a large bill from the remediation company and my insurance company denied the claim. I contacted RIA (Priscilla) and she came immediately, took charge of things, contacted the insurance company and also a law firm and sent teams over to access and repair the damage, all the while documenting everything. I was out of the loop and Priscilla handled everything. The insurance company then made a reasonable offer for damages and we settled. I later had a leak from a faulty water heater and I called Priscilla immediately who took charge, contacting the insurance company, taking photos and getting the remediation done. I did not deal with the insurance company once and Priscilla settled the claim in a timely matter. I can't say enough about RIA and Priscilla and recommend them highly.

I was referred to RIA and Joe to get an accurate number for repairs to submit to my insurance company that had shorted us an unreasonable amount for hurricane damages. He was extremely professional and down to the detail in his documentation. It provided us really good footing when we eventually went to litigation with the insurance company.He helped represent us in our first meeting with the insurance company before we had to hire a lawyer to go further due to the insurance company's no-show and refusal to award money. Joe always made sure we were in the know of what was going on and what was going to happen.I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Cathleen. Cathleen always called to check up on us during this 2 year process and to update us on what was going on. On NYE I found a leak in my kitchen that had been ongoing, I did some research and called RIA the next day. Irene came out 1/2 and did an assessment and took care of literally EVERYTHING. I would highly recommend Joe and RIA, who represented my Irma related insurance case very effectively. There is no way I could have represented myself and achieved anywhere close to the result that Joe and RIA were able to. Joe understands the details of insurance contracts, the state laws and the ins and outs of the whole adjustment process extremely well. I found communication to be clear and very straightforward, particularly when we reached points where I had a decision to make about which way to proceed. We asked Joe Connelly of Recovery Insurance Adjusters to help us out after Irma. We knew we had damage as a tree hit our home. Joe Connelly handled EVERYTHING. He inspected the damage done to our home himself spending hours doing so. He met with the insurance adjusters at our home pointing out damage that Irma had caused that the Insurance Company's adjuster never thought of addressing. Joe made all the phone calls to the insurance company. He was our representative to the insurance company and essentially lifted the chore of dealing with the insurance company off our shoulders.
